low mic volume on a v557 can anybody help?

i just recently got a v557 and the volume when i talk to people is real low they cant hear me. i tried raising the volume with motokit but it dont seem to work. does anyone else know what i can do to fix this problem? is there anything i can do to open it up and see if somethings not right inside the phone? thanks.

Try P2k Advanced Editor if you need a GUI to do it with, or use xlr8's SEEM map and hex edit the gain table.

I use most of his suggested settings for my gain table - same table for my old V551, V557 (with system sounds at 1 instead of my preferred 0) and V635.

just a suggestion jguttz's ; did you restart your phone after you edited it?..because when i first did it i didnt notice anything till i restarted my phone for the changes to take place..

yea i did restart it but the settings seem to go back down to where they were before its wierd. and thanks hytran ill try those seem edits from the link u gave me hopefully it works.
