I have a new Verizon RAZR V3C and loaded MPT on my PC. Since doing this, I have corrupted 2 phones and had them exchanged for new ones. I have contacted both Verizon and Motorola with no positive results. When I connect the phone, it seems to work correctly and sync the contact and calendar information. However, when the phone is disconnected from the USB, it locks up completely and will not do anything. Has anyone out there experienced a problem like this? Do you know of anything that I can do to make the MPT software work correctly? All I want to do is sync the address book and calendar. I would use a different software, but MPT was the only one that I can find that will sync with Lotus Notes, which is a requirement for my job.

We apologize for this issue. The Motorola Mobile Phone Tools software will
allow you to transfer your Outlook contacts between your handset and your
PC. This information can be imported from Outlook, Outlook Express and
Lotus Notes. However, calendar synchronization is currently not
functioning correctly with this software. According to Motorola: problems
can be generated during the calendar synchronization.

I also found a Motorola Phone Update utility (Version C01.03.00) on-line... Is this something that might help correct the problem?

he forgot to tell you that the V3c has some locked downs on the ringtones & photos, and only lets you do phonebook and calender sync with MPT, I read here that everyone with V3c phone succede using bitmin, there is one Hofo member here IamKevin that I know have these type of phones and tweeked it out to the max, he is one that has succeded with the V3c. but then again, lots of horor stories from alot flashing/flexing and of coarse bricking it.

OK... According to Motorola, MPT does not work with Lotus Notes 7... According to their tech support, that is what was causing my problem with the phone locking up. I don't know if I buy that, but it'a about all I've got to go on...

I can't get it to work with Notes 7 (Notes crashes, not the phone.) MPT has been one version behind Lotus Notes since I've been using it.

I wanted to try Intellisync but it won't talk to the Razr. I don't think there's any other way besides MPT, which means we're screwed.

Um, NO it wont.

Verizon has NOT released any firmware updates via MSU. All that will happen is... MSU will install the P2KDrivers, read the ESN number from your phone, and say N/A for carrier and model...
