Ok so My Motorola V300 is dead. It won't start up. When I hold the End button to start it up, the keypad lights up but the screens do not turn on. I have tried everything including charging it and taking out and battery and putting it back in, called TMobile and they said I need to upgrade because I don't have a warranty on it anymore.

I was planning to get a new phone anyway, but I want to be able to save the #'s I have on this phone. The TMobile lady said it wasn't impossible to get the #'s from this dead phone, but because the screen isn't working, it would be hard to figure out. She didn't give a clear answer on how I would be able to do that.

Would it be possible to bring it into a Tmobile store and have them work their magic and get the #'s out of the phone's memory? I didn't save them to my SIM card.

I just have lots of #'s and I don't have a backup!

You have MPT? You can get the phonebook with that.

What is MPT?

I called Motorola and they said there is a way to get my #'s saved to my phone memory to my computer because the phone still turns on, but the screen doesn't. She said I had to get software called Motorola Phone Tools and used that to get my #'s from my phone. Is that a good thing to do?

Ok So i''m guessing MPT is Motorola Phone Tools. Durrrrrrrrr.

So I can get the MPT for $50. Is there a cheaper way of going about this? I just need the software and the cable right?

Ebay usually has them a lot cheaper bundled with the cable.
