i cannot figure out HOW to make it work (or a workaround). I've searched but can only find stuff for tethered USB workarounds. Anyone got a bluetooth or infared suggestion?

TIA.

IR will not work. It has been software disabled.

BT will not work. The profile has been software disabled so you can only use it teathered as a modem.

Actually, there is no IR circuitry in a BlackBerry. So nothing has been disabled. It just doesn't exist. There is a red lens on some BlackBerrys.

And, as stated earlier, you can not use the BT as a modem on a BlackBerry. PIM syncing and wireless headsets only.

You can't, end of story. It has to do with security. Best you'll get is tethering the BB itself as a modem. See Mark Rejon FAQ at the top of the forum.
