I think this is it... per request

Posted by: angel_wing0

its stupid that nokia removes ringtones after updating a fw

Posted by: tech23

Someone must have it, somewhere!

Anyone on Orange with the N80 will have ringring.mp3 - I think FExplorer will be able to find it under the hidden Z:\ drive on your phone.

You have no idea how much this would mean to me!

Seriously considering a PayPal payment to the person who can retrieve it!

Posted by: angel_wing0

i thought scoofjack sent it to u?!

Thanks

I've scoured the internet, my only guess is that someone with the N80 on Orange can use a file browser to view the hidden OS files, copy ringtone to memory card and then put on computer and then onto internet.

Can't remember which file browser I used, came with an email client I think - but I found the ringtone files in a hidden Z:\ drive.

- Joe

Posted by: angel_wing0

the person can proabbly get it with fexplorer

Posted by: Toaster

I'm trying my best.... I'm dying to hear this ringtone now!

Have I ever posted it in the past?

Posted by: Emarat

Hi everybody!!

can I help?!? I'm from UAE / Dubai and I have N80,

I looked for the ringtone (RingRing) in my mobile but I didnt find it!!

so can anyone describe this ringtone so that may I b able 2 find it!!

many thanks to Toaster , u r the hero of the Ringtones Forum!!

Posted by: Toaster

Since you have an N80, has YOU flashed the firmware? or is it stock?

If its stock - then you should have this mysterious ringring.aac tone. Check and see if you have a tone called RING RING in your ringtone list... if you do, then you obviously have it.

You'll need to install feexplorer, make sure show hidden files is selected, then search for "ring*.*" on z:

Once you find it, copy and paste it to your mmc card, then you can post it and be the hero of this thread

My guess is it will be an .aac, not an .mp3...

Posted by: Emarat

I found this ringtone in my PC, it was in my last SE mobile and it is called (RingRing)

I hope u like it!!

Posted by: Emarat

Mine is a stock, not formated or updated yet, but I didn't find this ringring tone nither in mp3 format nor in aac!!

what do u mean by feexplorer?? I guess u mean a program that manages and looks for the files in the mobile system, unfortunately I dont have it yet!!

I promise to keep looking 4 this ringtone, I'm really sorry!!

Posted by: angel_wing0

hmm..dont think that is the one -_-*

Posted by: tech23

Thanks for all your efforts - I do really appreciate it so much!

I can definately confirm its called 'ringring.mp3' - it's still set as my ringtone after the firmware upgrade, but it just can't find it.

I've search my phone using FExplorer on Z:\, can't find it anywhere, though.

I think it's an Orange-specific tone... really driving me crazy looking for it!

Again, thanks a lot

- Joe

Posted by: angel_wing0

i'll keep looking, no worries

Fexplorer is not available for the n80 which needs 3rd edition software.

Posted by: angel_wing0

That's not very nice!

I definately did use FExplorer, it was bundled with ProfiMail (http://www.getjar.com/products/1318/ProfiMail).

Hope that helps.

Posted by: angel_wing0

oic..but i thought there is no s60 v3 version of n80, thats all

no offense

1. We are correct. There is NOT an Fexplorer out yet for the n80
2. What you have bundled with profimail is profiexplorer and not fexplorer.
3. Please be clear in what you have on your phone otherwise we'll all mess ours up installing something that is not compatible with it.

D'oh - Sorry!

I had uninstalled it, was just looking through my Opera downloads, found FExplorer and presumed that was the one I had been using.

But yes, ProfiExplorer does the job nicely - sorry for any confusion!

- Joe

Posted by: angel_wing0

maybe i'll try that hmm~

Posted by: Jeremy2078

It is the one you are looking for. A quality ringtone, taken from my 6680 orange, using FEexplorer. Let me know how to send it to you, or email, as it is 21kb, too large for attachment to this post.

Posted by: angel_wing0

upload it to a site like yousendit.com and give us the link pls ^^

Posted by: Jeremy2078

Let me know how you get on.

Excellent! Glad I could help.

Posted by: angel_wing0

mind if u can upload the entire list? thanks

Posted by: Jeremy2078

what entire list? from the 6680?? I probably could, but it doesn't allow me to take the (.mid files) as it says "unable to send protected objects". I can only take the (.aac files & .mp3 files). This is using FExplorer. Does anyone know how to get round this problem of "unable to send protected objects" I thought FExplorer allowed you to take all files from the hidden Z:\Drive ?? Any help would be much appreciated. thank you kindly. J

Posted by: angel_wing0

try to use zipman and see if it will zip up the files for u..thanks

Posted by: SymbianBlack

The Link is Dead can someone RE-UP the Link????????????????

Posted by: Jeremy2078

zipman didn't work. I am still getting the "protected objects" message when trying to take the (.mid) files off my phone with FExplorer. I can only take the (.mp3) & (.aac) files. not sure about this one. any help would be great. cheers J

i just use FExplorer, rename extension (.sis -> .si ) and send file. remember to rename back before using file(s).

keywords: send, file, protected, object
