V3i unlock code length

Is it possible to change the phone unlock code length from 4 digits to 6 or 8 digits? PK advance editor gives an option in seem 004e but changing it does not work. It says that length can be flexed. How! Any advice would be appreciated.

AFAIK, no, this cannot be changed. 
It's hard-coded into the phone and no amount of flashing or flexing will change that.

Seem 74 has fixed length (10 bytes).
My seem contains this (hex values):
00 31 00 32 00 33 00 34 00 00
(1234)
As you can see, max length of password can be 5 symbols (10 bytes).
Size of seem is fixed and can't be changed.

I tried to set it to 5 digits but it didn't work. I still get option of only 4 digits when I change the unlock password. Is there no way to change size of seem 74? I thought it was possible to change nearly all flex settings.

We can't change seem size.

Note that the software might be expecting the lock string to end with a null character (a 0). That would limit the size to 4 "symbols".
