i870 - Not listed! What gives?

I was searching Nextel's site in the ringtones and wallpapers section to see if the ringtones and wallpapers there for downloads had the i580 listed with the other capatible phones yet and I discovered that the i870 isn't listed with the other phones that are capatable for downloading ringtones and wallpapers.

Same goes on the actual Zingy site.

The i870, can't it download wallpapers and ringtones from Nextel's website downloads section or from Zingy?

So can the i870 actually download ringtones and wallpapers off of Nextel's web site or from Zingy even though this phone isn't listed as a capatable model when pulling up a ringtone or wallpaper from those sites? Just about every model of phone is listed, but not the i870.

I found out part of the problem with this. Nextel recently changed ringtone and wallpaper providers. If you notice, on Nextel's site the ringtones are now referred to as ringers and there are no wallpapers at this time that can be downloaded into your phone, only screensavers.

The i605 is listed with the ringers, but the i605 can not download these ringers into the phone. Nextel needs to get this fixed.

I called them and they are lost at this point and they said they need to contact the new ringer provider.

It doesn't look like you will be able to download ringtones and wallpapers into the new phones coming out like the i670 and the i580 anytime soon. The i870 has been out awhile and it still is not listed as a compatible phone. The i605 is listed but isn't able to download them, either!
