V635 reception problems?

My v635 seems to have weak reception compared to my 6682. I've had motos in the past and they've had very nice reception compared to other phones. Anyone had this problem. I'm on cingular and live in the Wash/DC metro area.

The v635 doesn't seem to like Cingular's network. Especially when there is a mixture of 850 and 1900. That's my experience with it anyway.

Sold it!! No, really, I did sell it, but that wasn't why. I did send it to Motorola for them to look at it. They did check it out, but said that they wouldn't do more than the basics because the phone wasn't approved for any US carriers. I got good enough reception to use the phone without much trouble, but it wasn't as good as some of my other phones.
