Have unlocked L7, but can't upload to TF!!

I have searched and searched and can't find an answer...unless i don't understand the concept of flashing/flexing etc. I have bought an unlocked SLVR L7 and love it but I can't get the darn phone to upload at all. I am lucky if I get the removable disk drive to show up on my computer and then I can't put anything in it. I have formated the MC, I have updated Motorola Phone Tools, I have Tried to put Itunes on and using all the programs featured on here, but still the same problem can't get the phone to receive any data. I also have my USB connectivity set to data/fax. Help would deffinetly be of the essence here. Thanks in advance.
