Razr freezes while entering text

I am having a problem that whenever i try to use predictive text messaging or iTAP, my phone freezes, whether it's using the phone with msn messenger online or with simple text messaging, the phone also freezes while trying to message with the normal TAP english, or even when i am entering names in the phone book, it seems to be a problem with generally entering text into the phone, it keeps freezing, i bought the phone from cingular wireless without a plan, and i brought it to the caribbean, therefore the option of bringing the phone in is not valid..please help me out!

i had a similar problem with one of my razrs and if i can recall i master resetted the phone and everything was back to normal again

ok well i will go to the site and see if i can figure out what to do, because honestly i don't know anything about the phone software, firmware, changing it updating it and all that, so if i don't get it done then hopefully u can guide me through it maybe?...thanks

a phone is like a small computer with a os if you load more then it can handle it will crash meaning too many picutres too many games videos ect... wil cause it to crash on text entries known problem at my shop master clear 99% well fix it

I'm having the very same problem with my v3. iTap freezes it right away. I can type numbers or symbols, but if I insert a space it freezes. If I type any text in and hit send it freezes. All of this applies to text messaging and phone book entries, and probably any screen that allows you to enter text. I've been Googling my brains out, but I can't find a fix. The master reset did not help, nor did clearing out pictures, sounds, etc. I guess I'm off to try and flex/flash.

Get into the phone's file system with a P2K program and delete the itap_user_dict file then restart the phone.

just flash it, your problems should go away.

There's no need to flash the phone! Why lose user input stuff? All you have to do is delete the itap_user_dict file and restart through the program you are using. Problem solved.

I use a v3 Razr and have similar problems to what was described above... the only thing that seems to be wrong with my phone at the moment is typing text messages, as soon as I hit a letter it freezes up, same goes with entering someones name to store their number. I have downloaded motokit and flex editor, but the programs say the phone is not connected when I connect it with the cable. I am able to connect to moto tools to transfer photos but for some reason not any of these p2k programs, any suggestions?

Clear out pictures and old text messages always fixes the problems worst case scenario relfash the phone. I get phones with that problem all day
