V3i vibrating problem

I just purchased an unlocked Razr V3i from ebay and it seems that the vibrating feature doesnt work. I really need that function. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I am hoping it doesn't involve all the modding everyone hear seems to be able to do. I am wayyy to scared to try it on a phone i just spent a fair amount of money on

Any help is really appreciated

try putting down the volume all the way and putting it on vibration if it doesnt work, seems like the motor died or something, or isnt connected properly, if you got warranty try getting the warranty to cover it if not try opening the phone take heat guna and warm the motor points a bit and might start working again :P
