razr v3 antenna going bad?

A few weeks ago I started having a problem with my v3. One day at my house, the signal strength dropped to "low", when it's been full strength for the past 9 months. Then I started having problems calling out, always getting "Network Busy". It was intermittent, but was out for at least 8 hours one night. I couldn't even call my voicemail, though calling 611 (Cingular customer service) did work. They told me there were no tower outages in the area, and that probably the antenna in my phone was going bad.
Since then, I still see the low signal strength, but I haven't seen the "Network Busy" since. My phone is still under warranty for another month, so I can get it replaced if I need to. Though I hate doing that because you usually get a refurb and at least I know where my current phone has been.
Anyway, has anyone heard of this? Does it sound feasable that the antenna could be going bad?
Thanks for any insights.

Seriously bro i reccomend you getting a new phone from Motorola, your saying oh its refurbished, Motorola Refurbished are not that bad they carefully test the phone out again as they dont want the phone comming back to them, so your guaranteed most likely the phone will not have problems! Why go to a hassle of repairing a phone when you can get someone else to repair or get you another one

Thanks for the reply. What I'm really asking is a "bad antenna" something that could actually happen, or are they just BSing me because they don't have another explanation?
