Motorola slvr l7 weird sound problem

When i used my headphone that came with the phone the volume is extremely clear and loud. Even when i set the volume down ot 0 i can still hear it clearly.
How come its so much louder with the headphones? But when im just using the earpiece to hear the in-call volume(putting the phone next to my ear) it is very low(even at max 7 volume). Makes no sense to me.
Do all slvr phone have low volume for earpiece or is it just mines?
