Does such a thing exisit?
I've had the phone since Monday and my irda wouldn't work, and now BT won't work either...
So this might be my last resort, if this doesn't work out the phones' gotta go...

Also, does anyone know if there is an alternative firmware for this phone?

yes there is however what are u going to be using the data cable for? it might be easier for most things to just use the mini-sd card

Yeah, I read all the threads about getting the Panasonic SD Reader, but it doesn't seem as practical if I don't buy another Sharp phone later on... I was looking at the data cable for transferring pics, etc...

How much does the card reader cost?
Does anyone know where I can get it in GTA?

you don't specifically need a panasonic one unless you're trying to convert mp3's -> SD Audio. Any other SD Reader will transfer other files just fine.

for best results get a mini sd card ( 20 bux [pcomes with adapater]) and a muti memcard reader (20 bux ) better long term value and much better =D

yah that is true. If you want to go one step further, i'd pick up the Panasonic SD card reader.. then the sd jukebox.. you never know when it'll come in handy
