p910a can't write to memory stick when in PC

for some reason when I put the memory stick in the PC and try to write to it it keeps telling me its' read only so I sent all the folders not read only but they just keep getting set back to read only. What am I donig wrong?

is your memory stick set to read only, you might have a small tab on the stick like the floppys used to have.

The thing is I can write to it from the phone just not when I take it out and stick it in the PC. Where would this tab be? Plus I have to put it in one of the adapters to get it into the computer. But there's nothing on there that could be switched that I can see either.

the tab is on the memory card itself.. my friend's sd has a tab. i havent checked on my mem stick if it does.

the tab is not the issue. Not sure what is wrong with it though. I think it might ahve something to do with how the phone writes to it. I can't even format it with the computer.
