finally got my treo 650 - after months of looking!

yay for me! anyway, is it possible to get a wi - fi sd card for a treo 650 (cingular unlocked )

i don't think the SD slot in the treo is compadible with the wifi sd card.

Its not compatible, I was speaking to a Rep from Palm on a roadshow and he said that it is not compatible, however the 700 will be.

dont hold your breath on that one to be honest...although i believe the 700w can, the 700p cannot

You CAN get the wifi card to work with some hacking, but it is very unstable & you have to do a hard reset after using it each time or else your data connection will not work. AFAIK anyway, I haven't tried it, that's just what I heard from the h4x0r community.

And it uses batteries....and you may require a third party browser if your carrier locked Blazer to their proxies (I heard Sprint does this)

If you want wifi THAT bad, get the Enfora wifi sled. Its big, but who cares as long as it works?

You're right, but I was referring to the Treo 700g, the one that will be released for rogers later on this year.

Well unless the 700g is running WM, it won't be compatible...never heard of a 700g, sounds like an uninformed/misinformed rep to me. From what I've heard, GSM users won't be getting a 700 series at all, they'll be getting something else supposedly.

Is the 700g a Rogers specific phone, or is it just a GSM version?

I have never heard anything about a 700g. There will be a 700p out for cingular in a couple of months. The Treo Hollywood should be released in the UK soon as well.

Treo 700 will be out for GSM in Sep. Oct. time in the US. I hope T-Mobile carries it because i hate cingular.

Don't count on it. T-Mo's prize pig is the Sidekick, they didn't carry the 650, and have even discontinued the 600.

They suck :P
