A few more questions before i start

My first day is comming up at the end of this week and i had a few last questions.

1. What is cingulars policy on piercings. I have an eyebrow ring that is not that noticable but i kno some places do not allow their employees to have them. What is cingulars policy/

2. Also, what should i wear on my first day? I was just thinking of wearing a nice shirt and a pair of kahkis. Good Idea?

Thanks in advance guys. Im both nervous and excited to start.

they might have you take out the eyebrow ring. Cingular's policy states something about facial peircings and all that. if it's small tho the manager may let you keep it in. I'd leave it up to them.

also, a nice button down shirt or blank polo with kahki's or nice slacks is a good choice. also, dress shoes are a must, no tennies.......

I agree with Bella. Lose the eyebrow ring while at the store. A solid color polo and khakis is a good choice for a first day. Definately no tennis shoes. Let us know how the first day goes.

Yea i have a pair of dress boots that i wore at my old job. Im going to go buy a retainer tomorrow becuase im not quite ready to give up my eyebrow ring. Otherwise im still a bit nervous. What should i expect on my first day?

Also, how does the pay work? For instance am i going to have to wait a while to get my first check? Or should i get paid on the next cycle?

So I'm assuming you had an interview since you got the job. They never covered these topics at the interview? They usually ask if you have any questions. Did you receive your welcome package, or did you apply for a third party retailer?

Boots generally are not acceptable.

I wonder how many more of these threads are gonna keep popping up. Honestly, if you use the search button your bound to find at least ten topics about people asking about the first day, what they should wear, and how much we make. I'm not bashing anyone, just advising to use the simple search button and all your questions would have been answered. There's about two other threads like this one on the main agents page. You wouldn't even have to look at previous pages.

Well my first day was interesting. Everyone i met today at my store was awesome, so it seems like ill be getting along with everyone. Otherwise, i was so overwhelmed and i felt like i had no purpose being there. Its hard for me going from a job where i knew almost everything to a job where i know almost nothing. I guess ill pick up. I think once i actually learn OPUS everything will seem much better.
