major problem on v3c after alltel flash

after flashing to alltel from verizon, i had numerous problems. first i could only place calls half of the time. at one point, about 90% of my texts would not go through. i reflashed and it fixed this, however any data transfer seemed not to work, such as pix, mobile web, and GIN. i have read that a *228 update would cause this however i never did a *228 update while on the alltel firmware. so i counltessly tried many seem edits that 'should' have fixed the problem however it never did.

so today i finally got fed up with this and decided to flash back to .04, and i'm still having the problem with data transfer.

any help please guys? i know someone here can help me out...

[edit]
for reference, when i try to send a pix message it says "connecting" and then after about 15 seconds it says "NATIONAL COVERAGE ACCESS NOT AVAILABLE". *sigh*

so no one wants to help me?

now my phone keeps getting on an "extended network" even though i'm like 2 miles away from a tower and i can't place calls or send/recieve texts. i'm REALLY getting annoyed with this and i'm sure someone can help me.

Have you asked this in the Motorola Phone subforum in the Version Wireless forum?

As OmegaWave correctly points out, you're better off asking in the Motorola phones section of the Verizon forum. I'm surprised that nobody's mentioned this to you in any of your threads.

The folks hanging around here are pretty much all GSM people, which is quite a different animal than your CDMA phone. Add to that the bastardizations that Verizon forces Motorola to make and it's a REALLY different animal
