Battery Draining Quick !!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just got my E815 3 days ago and followed the instructions on charging the battery but it seems to drain very quick. I spent some time on a full battery checking out all the features and setting up my personal info. but for the time I spent it seems like the battery is draining alot quicker then it should.
I had to charge the phone a couple times over the weekend so it would not die on me. Could it be possible that I received a defective battery ??

Its possible or the phone software or the network can be the reason for your phone battery to be draining.

charge your phone, unplug it, charge it again, unplug it, then charge it one more time all in a row without using the phone. See if that helps

Thanks for the feedback. I will try the charging process and see if that works.
my battery meter was reading 4 so I put it on the charger and in 5-10 mins. it was reading 6 on the meter. I can't see this battery charging that fast.
Is it a myth or true fact that you should not charge the battery unless it is very low ??
I've heard that recharging all the time is not good for the battery
How can the network effect the battery ?? I can see the software because certain software processes at certain speeds.
I am still in my 15 day trial period so I will keep an eye on it.
Thanks again

I tried doing what you suggested ScruffyGuy but it seems to still drain quickly.
I was showing 2 on my Battery meter so I put the charger on and it jumped to 6 (max) in 5 mins.. after I took it off the charger. I know theres no way it can charge that fast
Has anyone else who also owns the E815 have this problem ???
I have about 9-10 days before Verizon's 15 day return policy expires. I may just return the phone and get a new one. Any more suggestions ????

before you take the charger of does it say "CHARGING COMPLETE" on the inside display. It should take more than 5 minutes to charge.

Miy E815 charge somtimes lasts 1 day, other times it's 4 -5 days with simular useage but it appears that if I plug it in at night and remove in the morning it doesn't last long, 1-2 days. If on the other hand in the morning I unplug and replug it in a few times it lasts longer... maybe my imagination but this is what it seesm to do.

There is a way of turning off evdo do a search in verizon forum that will save you some battery also when you check out all the features that burns battery too like camera bluetooth and mp3 and setting it up.

Thanks for the suggestions... I'll try and see if they make a difference.

If I plug my phone in and it charges then unplug it 5 minutes later, the phone shows charged, but not really charged. You need to leave it on until the phone says "charged completed." Once you get to that point, unplug the phone from the charger then once again plug it in until is says "charge complete"

This should take care of your charge problems.
