I checked my phone this afternoon, it has an Unregistered Sim Message on the screen and no service. Has this happened to anyone before? What do I need to fix it?

It happened to me on one of my 551s. Went to Cingular store and they gave me a new sim, no charge, no more problem. They said it just happens sometimes.

check your account, sometimes a missed payment can cause cingular to temporarily cut your line.

That's happened to me , but no SIM card message like that.

Take out the sim card, wipe it off and put it back in and see if this helped. If not, just exchange it for a new one at the Cingular store.

Actually happened to me today. My old sim was still registered on the network. They had to remove the old sim, and register the new one on the account. THey also needed the IMEI number for the phone, as well as the 20 digit number on the sim card. You have to call the 800 number do it not from your cell phone, and you will be good to go.

Definately hit up the Cingular store if possible!
