Some thoughts on the Sanyo 2300...

I just got mine today, and I'm quite impressed with it. So with that in mind here is some loose-brained nonsense based on my first 6 hours or so with it.
1. It's the manliest phone I've seen...the thing has a nice manly thickness
to it which I for some reason like.
2. The keypad lights up like the dial on an old watch, ie green numbers on
a black background.
3. It's sound quality is good, nice and smooth and loud.
4. The speakerphone is loud enough to make my ears hurt a bit.
5. No camera.
6. Nice crisp if slightly coarse screen.
7. Good ringers...not quite enough normal ones but the ones that are there
are hot stuff, especially tone 8.
8. It's got full download capability so I can make up for the slight lack of
regular ringers with my old bell phone ringer.

9. The flip opens like the door on an old Cadillac, with a nice firm authoritative
click.
More once it recharges...

More thoughts:
-it comes with a picture of the Sanyo sign at Times Square, which is cool
-it can be set to alert one to text messages and voice mails with a verbal
reminder, which is very cool.

I have the same phone and also enjoy it. it doesn't have as many fancy gadgets as some other phones but for the price you can't complain.
