Offset 2, bit 1 is a setting for European phones, and they don't support our voicemail system. offset 54 - bit 7: BLOCK ADVANCED MENUS: Settings > Network (1 on, 0 off - set to 0 to UNBLOCK advanced Network Menus) |

Regarding the true network name ... Here's the file ... http://xlr8.us/hofo/map.txt Look for "Alpha Tag". Seem 0032, offset 4B, bit 6. Set to zero. You will see the provider's name OUTSIDE of your home area. NOte: Again, You will not see "Cingular" change, but anywhere you go out of market, you will see THEIR name (ie phone will show "TMobile" if you are on their network.) On my phone, I had to do the Seem 0032_0001, offset 02, bit 1 then I could put in my own Alpha tag name for Cingular, but again I had problems with the voicemail (remember this is the same edit as the manual network select). So I left this seem edit off (because I know Cingular means I'm in my own home area). Did you do the seem edit offset 54, bit 7 to enable network menu? |
