RX-8

H2...

Posted by: [Corporal Dan]

Infiniti or 350z

Honda s2000 is pathetic. So is RX-8. Both generate less torque that a three-year-old on a trike.

I am not deficient in my manhood. Thus, i do not wish for a Hummer.

Posted by: eddie3390(",)

the 350z's sooooo sexy!!! mmm mmm

Posted by: Frosty Vibe

G35 coupe, simply because it looks better than 350z

S2000: no torque, might as well buy a motorcycle.

RX8: nice but not a fan of its truck-door.

H2: I don't wanna support terrorists

Posted by: AndyLHoang

Infiniti G35 coupe!!!

Posted by: crazeazn

gawd you people rag on the s2k but u realize the car weighs barely more than a tricycle so u dont need much torque to get it launched...

Fairlady

Posted by: s2000

humm...im hesitating between the S2000 (i like this car a lot!!!...it doesn't need a lot of torque...trust me! ), Nissan 350Z (very nice car!!!) and the G35 coupe...but this car is kinda big!

The RX-8 sucks!!!

The H2 is very nice but its not my first choice!

Posted by: s2000

Hey guys, check this link for a nice pic of the RX-8!!!

http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?threadid=61717

Posted by: Ryan1524

definitely the G35 it's a 350Z and then some more

Posted by: Gatorade

I'd have to say I wasn't impressed by the looks of the 350Z until I saw one yesterday, looks damn good!

Posted by: s l i m

s2000 for sure. Out of all those cars, the s2k is the most fun to drive. Im kinda biased on this vote since the s2k is my fav car

Posted by: cuto

i chose the 350z, cuz it looks new and cool. the pics s2k posted also had sweet s2000s. man. i'd like both!

huy397, care to explain why would these H2s support terrorists?

Posted by: Frosty Vibe

Haven't you heard that claim that driving gas-guzzlers support terrorism ?

Because of all the oil the car consumes.

There was a thread in here on that issue, shouldn't be hard to find.

I was joking anyway, I didn't want a H2 because of its size and it is truely a gas guzzler.

S2K is nice but it lacks low-mid range torque, so...

Posted by: Koofteh

I'd go for the 350Z, not the G35. The G35 looks to big and hoggy, and I think the 350Z is more eye-catching, unless you want the back seats.

Definately the G35 Coupe - it's the legendary Skyline in Japan...
finally they have it in North America (though not many people seem to be aware of its true identity in the G35 guise...).

Check this out:

Nissan 350Z Track Pack

Posted by: SharpST77

id pick the G35c cuz i love that car

u can say the same thing about the fairlady Z

The H2 if you want to be practical. The G35 if you want speed.

Oh BTW SUVs DO NOT SUPPORT TERRIORISM. I drive a SUV and I think all of that stuff is a load of crap.

Ya so? Am I supposed to believe it is such a great car just because it's called a Skyline? It takes more than just a name you know?

Posted by: TheOne

hmm... i'd have to go with the H2 on this one... with the 350Z a close second.

My rational:

S2000 - like others have said, hamsters make more torque than this car. Light or not, torque is a very important element in making a car fun to drive. 150 ftlbs?!?!?!? @ 6000+ rpms? nobody wants to drive like that every day just to keep up with traffic...

350Z - This car is much more balanced than an S2000 with hp, handling AND torque. Besides, real sports cars aren't convertibles. No matter what you say, a coupe is ALWAYS stiffer than a convertible.

G35 coupe - Diluted version of the 350Z, nuff said. Go with the original, not the copy.

RX-8 - Phenomenal car and it has 4 doors! but something about the styling doesn't sit right with me. A sports car has to perform but if it doesn't look good its like being in an awkward relationship.

Hummer H2 - Why? cause out of all these cars it is the most practical. I can drive me, my GF, my buddies and all our gear around and they don't feel like sardines. There's also the fact that I can run over any ricer who tries to start ***** with me

No...not just the name..
I like it for its styling (350z looks a bit too small) and balance between performance and comfort.

350z

Not just the name? Then why did you feel the need to mention the G35 is also called the "Skyline" as a advantage?

350Z looks "small"? Then what is considered "big"? (other than a H2)

Posted by: Life-Is-Good

H2? It seems odd to be comparing the H2 to a bunch of sports cars.

Do you want that with the optional brush grille guard and anti-rhinoceros armor?

Posted by: bizzyseller

g35 Coupe all the way

Posted by: s2000

humm...a lot of people choose the 350z and G35 coupe! My choice between these two cars would be the G35 coupe! I did some research on the net and now i like the G35 coupe more than the 350z!!!

Posted by: rip

i still like the RX-8...nothing else in it's class

unless you want to wait for the "new" RX-7 that might come out a year after?

Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less from you.

mawti: Hey Sharpy, I'm looking to buy a new car. Can you tell me some good features about your car?
SharpST77: Sure. It's called a Skyline.
mawti: um ya, thats nice. but how bout some features?
SharpST77: Not many people know it's called a Skyline!
mawti: Ya, I know. What else?
SharpST77: Skylines kick ***!
mawti: um...ok.

Posted by: s2000

If im not buying a sport car...ill definitely go with the H2! That car is very nice! I know a guy who has a yellow H2...and it is very impressive and it looks way better in person! But i dont really like the yellow one...i would choose the black one!

Anyways, i'm still waiting for the answer of my insurance company...i hope they will give my money back!!!

Posted by: bennysmalls

holy shiznap the h2 is like $60k, you need a ladder just to get in, the 8mpg means like a 40 gallon tank, effectively morphing your car into a bomb moving 55mph and the windows are like 3'x3'. NO.

350z is tight, but i'm not a big fan of the taillights. other than that, it is cool i guess.

g35 coupe is a BUFFED UP 350z, not diluted like whoever said it. it also has a prettier backside and a useable trunk/back seat thingy.

s2k man i didnt like it that much but those pictures the eponymical hofoer provided are WICKED!! torque thing is turning me off tho...they are (relatively) rare tho, unlike the other 3 cars mentioned

btw, is this the anti-european car thread? what about the 325ci, 330ci, a4, etc? i wouldnt mind driving a 3-series......

Posted by: s2000

This fall 2003...a new s2000 is coming out! a coupe version!...with 250bhp (10bhp more than previous models) and a 2.2l instead of 2.0l!

u read my mind...

350 Z Convertable..

S2k is very tempting too. ..!! even though its pretty old now considering all these new market models!!

Posted by: s2000

Oh man! I went to a GM dealership this morning for a H2 test drive!!! It was amazing!!! I think i falled in love with that car! I already made my choice...ill definitely get a H2...

Posted by: Koofteh

I think what he meant was that it's a legendary name, not that it makes the car any better. It's like how Mustang and Corvette are legendary names.

For example, between 350Z and G35, I'd choose 350Z. One of the reasons, not the most important reason tho, would be that it's a Z car. There's just something about names likes these, you know.

so by that same rationale the current chevy impala and monte carlo are pretty hot cars? names mean nothing

some names are good..

some are infamous...
yay...I'm buying a new Lada...gotta love that name! haha excuse my sarcasm...

Posted by: Koofteh

No, that's not what I said. Freaking read my post before you say something. I said that the name doesn't mean it's a better car, it's just a factor for some people. I even gave you an example, with the 350Z vs. Infiniti. I said the 350Z isn't a better car just because of the name, but if I couldn't choose between the two, I'd go for the 350Z since it has a legendary label.

Go read the god damn post before criticizing me.

I've read what you said Shawn and I feel that rexdale's comments were totally justified, given the ambiguity in your statments.

You first said that "legendary names" are just that--names. And that they mean nothing. Then you say:

What is this "something"? No I don't know. You must explain it to me since you first said there is nothing and now there is "something".

(Side note: Shawn, you really should stop putting "Shawn" at the end of all your posts. Yes I know its a nice trademark and adds a personal touch but it really makes it hard for someone to get the tone of what you are saying. If I was some newbie that didn't know you did that with every post, I would never take your post seriously.)

Posted by: Koofteh

Well you know how people say "there's just something about...", and what they mean is that it's special or something. I don't think my post was ambiguous at all, I said "not that it makes the car any better", which pretty much says what rexdale said, it doesn't make the car any better.

Shawn

Yeah, that had reached my mind before. Like I was making a sad statement or something, and then I ended it with Shawn. Maybe I'll hold a poll and ask if people are ever confused.

Thanks,
Shawn

Yes, I've heard that expression. But I just don't know what that means. (Sorry, I'm not trying to be difficult here. I really don;t know what that means). "special or something"? I'm still confused.

Does the "something" come from the car's name or from it's qualities? Is it the name itself that is so "special"?

Posted by: Koofteh

Okay, what I meant to say was that the name or badge of the car doesn't make it perform better or be of higher quality. BUT, for some people, the name might be a factor that might help them decide on a car.

For example, some people would much rather drive a 320i with no options that a Camry with everything. Just because of the fact that it's a BMW.

Shawn

Posted by: TheOne

I'm gonna chime in here...

The name of a car may have nothing to do with how "good it is". Take my fascination with mustangs. Ford doesn't make especially good cars, but they really did a number when they made the mustang. The mustang name is legendary, it started the muscle car segment and its just a fun car to own and drive. I own a BMW and really, its an AWESOME car but when you're in a mustang, roaring down the highway, nothing compares. Sunny day, top down, V8 rumble...

Not sure how to describe it... i'm sure owners of BMW Mini's will feel the same way.

The 350Z doesn't have as rich a heritage as the mini or mustang but it is a legendary car in its own right.

Posted by: Shaun_FreSh

damn those are all sweet, really hard to say.

My preferences in order.

1) Nissan 350z
2) Mazda RX-8
3) Hummer H2
4) Infiniti G35c
5) Honda S2000

I have driven all of them except for the RX-8, and I was a passenger in the H2. I chose RX-8 as second because it looks so hardcore. And I just love the "massitivity" and that "on top of the world" feeling you get when you are in the H2.

Posted by: Gatorade

Why is the H2 in there? those are all sports cars, you cant compare an H2 to them

Posted by: zaku

I'll choose the S2000! Pretty good performance overall

Posted by: s2000

what do u guys think of the new Infiniti FX45?

Posted by: bennysmalls

saw it at the outlets today. ugliest car ive ever seen second only to aztek. that alone means its not even worth an investigation of performance, reliatbility, etc.
