Panasonic VS7 Sound Problems

Well, I've noticed a problem with the sound for my VS7 recently. When it was ringing, the ringtone would be really choppy. For example, it would ring for a second, then only vibrate (I set it to vibrate + ring), then ring again, and so on. Just today, the phone's sound stopped working altogether. The keys don't make a noise when I'm navigating through the menu, the camera doesn't make a noise when I take a picture, etc. I'vw checked all vollume settings and they are on the highest. I've tried turning off the phone and on again. No luck. Any ideas? Thanks.

Edit: All sounds work when I am using my earphones.

wow.. what did u do to it before? did u drop it or anything? change anything?

Nope, nothing. After the phone was ringing all choppy, the phone turned off by itself. I turned it back on and I'm guessing that was when the problem started. Didn't notice there was no sound until about an hour later.

G'day Mate

I had the same problem with an LG F2100 and decided to open it up and look inside. I found that one of the wires going into the speaker had disconnected from the soldering. After I had soldered it back up the phone worked fine.

Now, I have a VS7 and have noticed that the screws have a funny shaped head to keep people like me from getting into them. But, where theres a will theres a way - I would, however, sending to the manufacturer to be fixed. Unfortunately you might have to pay unless there are no marks to show you've dropped it...

Anyway, hope that helps.

All right! My phone is fixed now. I brought it to a shop and it turns out that the speaker was busted. It has now been replaced so everything is working fine!
