Blue V3 wrong picture?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Anyone else notice that the picture of the blue razr on cingular's site is actually a v3i?

Oh wow, you're right. That could be misleading to people who think it looks like that. What is wrong with the people who do Cingular's website??? Do they hire HoBos of the street to do it or something? I mean, is it really that hard to put up the right picture of a phone. How stupid. Idiots .

Do they just Google for "blue razr", Photoshop the image and put it up on the site??? They need to get people who know what they are doing. Come on, it's the largest carrier in NA for Goodness sake.

man they had me about to click the "add to cart" button there for a minute!

I'm curious if anyone saw the blue ones at corp stores - is it v3i or v3

Posted by: zadosha

I think that the regular blue ones are only available through walmart.

How can you tell that it's a V3i?

Posted by: zadosha

I've had one. The black part around the outer screen extends down farther and contains a blue, lit moto logo.

that's not the phone? um i just bought one 4 hrs ago....

which one is it!

The original V3 in Cosmic Blue which Cingular is now selling.

The V3i in Blue that Cingular is NOT currently selling. Cingular used a picture of this model by mistake.

seeing that Cingular has that picture, maybe it will be coming out shortly. It would be about time. Verizon already has the V3i equivalent (V3m) and is coming out with silver/black and pink.

i called cingular and they said it was the phone pictured...lets see when i get it maybe i can argue :P

If Cingular would just post higher resolution images we could settle this debate by seeing the camera's resolution. I'm guessing it's just a mistake, someone did a search on Motorola's site for a blue RAZR and found it. Very close in design.

Am I the only one that noticed that the "blue v3" in that photo doesn't have the iTunes button? Maybe that might in factbe what it looks like, it has the RAZR's keypad, with the v3i's faceplate and dark blue backlighting. But on the same note, the camera has "Megapixel" printed on it. Hm.. This reminds me of a time where I bought the Siemens c61, because on the website it printed "Music Ringtones, Polyphonic, Color graphics etc." but I was sadly disappointed that it only had polyphonic ringtone capabilities. What's up cingular?!?! Come on!

It's not really a big mystery. There's a version of the V3i WITH itunes and there's a version WITHOUT. The picture I posted of the v3i was from the motorola website and it just happens to be the version without itunes. If and when Cingular starts selling the V3i (in any color) you can be sure it will be the version WITH iTunes.

i called cing and i got something along the same sorry expect the guy thati talked to said that it was not the v3i but a redesigned version of the razr. I asked him if it had a mem card and better cam and he said no. I so asked him this" you mean to tell me that motorola after having the same body style of a phone for over two years ,and right before a version with more features on it comes out, changed the hey pad of the this phone and the outside to make it look different" His response was that he had that phone and yes they did that. So i called my motorola rep and got here to look at the website and according to her cing made a big mistake because that phone was is the I version and their is no updated version of the V3.

Just looked online and Cingular has actually fixed the picture. Same old Razr but in Blue, as originally suspected.

Posted by: Masta Z

well thats gay

i wonder if this looks good
if it doesnt im gonna argue with them

Posted by: zadosha

it certainly won't look as good as the v3i. You can always send it back.

Posted by: OmegaWave

Yep, picture is fixed and it took almost a week for them to change it!

Posted by: mckinnie08

Dang. That stinks. I was hoping it would look like a v3i haha

Posted by: StunnaS

Whats the SKU on the Blue Razr? The Cingular branded one... Usally it show on the side of the box above the imei #

Posted by: Spetsnaz Op

the real question is why would anyone pay 99 for a razr new activation??? upgrades are understandable but for new activations that is a rip
