I just got a V3i w/ iTunes and have a couple of questions. I know some of them have been asked before, but I can't seem to find the exact answers I am looking for, so please forgive the ignorance.

Date & Time:
- Did not pull from the network, I had to manually set this (and is still off by about a minutes). Is there a way to have it pull the time from the network server?

Alpha Tag
- Does the phone come with the alpha tag display enabled (ie if I am roaming on T-Mobile, will it show T-Mobile and not mask it as Cingualr)?

Language Pack
- I have tried to flash the phone with the US English language pack (is it ok to intall a R479 MXLP on the phone, I read somewhere R479 is for non-iTunes phone, but I could not find a R47A US Lang pack), however, when I download it from planetmotox.net it comes as a .rar file and the MutiFlashFlex tool requires a .shx. What am I doing wrong.

Funky Text Message
- After checking my voicemail I got a funky text message, I know I have seen a SEEM edit to fix this. Can someone quickly post the SEEM. Also, a link to a good newbie tutorial on how to SEEM edit

AMR-HR
- Do these phones come with AMR-HR disabled? My phone came from (well I am not sure) but the warrenty card had the website as hellomoto.com/th (I am assuming Thailand or Vietnam?)

While the phone has the .35R flash I see no need to update it to the current one, unless someone can tell me new features that are substantial.

The auto update date and time can be enabled by a seem edit. I think I used the original v3 seem table and it worked fine...but i can't recall for sure. http://www.planetmotox.net/motox101/v3_seem_table.htm

Oh and there appears to be a seem edit for alpha tags in that link. Don't know what it does personally but maybe it's what your looking for.

if you are roaming on another carrier, it should say that carrier's name. im on fido and when i left the country, i had the option of setting my phone to cingular, or t-mobile. i picked whichever one and that replaced the Fido tag on my phone's screen.

as for the language pack question, you need to un-RAR the file first. go to rarlabs.com, download the program from there, open the file, and extract the .shx file. im not too sure if you can flash that file to your itunes-enabled phone though.... but read around first... i dont want you to brick your new phone.

the seem edit mentioned above will work just fine with the v3i as well.

as for your funky text message issue, this is the seem edit (taken from another post) :

open seem 0032_0001

Go to offset 2

Check Bit 1
