I don't know if this is a modding problem or a hardware problem.

When I listen to standard ringtones like Continental, I get volume. But when I listen to anything like a polyphonic or mp3 I hear a soft click, and then nothing.

Now I hear the same when I try to make phone calls. And it does the same when I use a handsfree.

Are you sure your mp3 ringtones are below 300kb?
On my v600 it did that when I first uploaded mp3's to it. I had ones about 500kb, and they would play in the media gallery, but they would not play as a ringtone.

Try to use a smaller file size. Hint - reencode them as mono, the v600 only has one speaker in it anyway. See if that helps.

Also have you modified your gain table at all with this phone? The ring tones you describe as working, are not controlled by the ring tone volume level, but rather by the system tone setting. I found this out when I turned down the system tones so I didnt get that ridiculously loud chirp every time I hit a side key on the phone to try and change the ring style.

You may somehow have gotten the ringtone level set low, but the ones that are considered system tones still play.

I used a monster pack and now it works. It was something to do with the 75r candyman reflash.
