V3x USB data cable

Hi All,

Wanted some clarification on the V3x USB data cable and whether or not it is able to charge the phone as well or not, as when connected it does not seem to charge my phone as I can put the phone onto the a/c charger and it continues to charge for quite some time.

the usb data cable IMHO takes about an hour more to charge, more than the travel or car charger.
