hofo!

finally a reason for me to visit the car forum once in a while haha,

i've had this thing for a month now, and been meaning to post up pictures and stuff...

i love this thing, great on gas, might as well be a hybrid (but it's not, so don't ask, it's always the first question i get haha)

spunky to drive and fit's a HELLA lot inside.... once i was moving stuff, i fit an ikea futon (frame + mattress) + an ikea bookshelf + a desk... into THIS CAR!

wish i had pix of that...

enjoy hofo's

nice...how come you didnt get the sport version? the only reason i was thinking about getting that car a while back was because the paddle shifters worked really well. didnt end up getting it because the dealer markup was $3,000...

Posted by: Kev01

lol yea... the paddle shifters, i figured i'd only use once in a blue moon to just show to friends or something...

my dealer had gave no markup bs, i was one of the first before the demand started to rise i guess..

it came down to the LX model + sport grille + hfp 16" rims + keyless + security or the sport model (came about to just about the same price MSRP)

since i really wanted the rims, i knew if i got the sport model, i'd still have to ante up to the hfp rims still...

so i went for the LX, gave up the paddle shifts + black fabric interior + an extra 40 watts in the sound system + a skirt bodykit that i didnt really like? .... i think i made a good decision..

coz i think i'll be standing out amogst other fits w/ my rims and grille =)

later i found out the LX gets better mileage, AND the dealer threw on a 3M clear bra on my hood for free too (it's already saved me a few chips and scratches on the hwy)

i'm pretty happy with it!

i think i should get this car too!! it looks really good.

i first saw this car in the philippines and it was called the

honda jazz not honda fit

Posted by: Kev01

yea i know eh, the "jazz" has been around for like 5 yrs now in EU/JAP right? and now they finally bring it to NA and call it the fit

Posted by: plumers

It is a nice car, I love them. I'm planning to get one since my Accord starts becoming like a gas guzzler.

How's the gas milleage on this car?

You are partially correct. In Europe, it's the Jazz. In Japan, it's also the Fit.

i've had it for almost over a month now

been keeping track of it through spreadsheets...

it's gotten better after break-in

mind you, mine's an auto...

i get about ~550 km out of a 41 L tank ... thats about 75% hwy, 25% city, 50% a/c on time ...

pretty much on par with what honda's official spec's say

To me, the Fit and Yaris came out of nowhere, but, though competing with each other somewhat, will do very well. They target the right kind of demographic, especially in the US with people's demand for good mpg, interior room, usability, and their dying desire for giant V8's.

I have a V8 Cadillac Eldorado with 13 mpg. And I just said that! WTF?!

What is the primary different between The Fit and Yaris?

I saw a Yaris yesterday. They look pretty close to the Fit. I noticed on TV that the Yaris, however, has this mean telescopic arm that breaks things looking for a gold disc. I'm not sure what that's about. I wonder if I'll need special insurance to protect myself if the arm breaks something it shouldn't.

well i hope you dont ever to need to get somewhere is a hurry....that 109hp (more likley 70-80 true wheel hp) isnt going to get you any fast...lol...so what were some of the biggest attractions for you to buy the car? the gas milage?

Posted by: plumers

Who needs over 250 horsepower and 5.7 liter car when you can only drive a little over 35MPH in some main street and 75MPH in highways (110MPH if you live in LA) anyway. At least I don't think I will ever need that.

Maybe people enjoy track times or auto-crosses in the weekends and also want it as their daily driven car?

Nice FIT!! are those stock seats? They look cool

Posted by: Supra123

Nice fit. It would be better if you would drop a k20 in there

*Nods in agreement*

Congrats on the Fit, it's become a real favorite among the car mags lately. I think it was Car and Driver that did a 6-8 car comparo and it came out on top.
