Hi, I just purchased Logitech Bluetooth Headphones for MP3, and was wondering if I could just connect the headphones via bluetooth to my N-gage QD to listen to mp3s, I purchased a MP3 player program by vikingsoft with bluetooth output. Would these work or am I SOL? Thanks.

i think it will work, but u wont get stereo output cuz QD is mono, u will get dual mono, however

Thanks for the quick reply, I ask cause I just bought 3 of them for only 30 bux on woot. Anyways I should be getting them in the mail tommorow, so I will confirm or deny the compatibility.

I read this at the Logitech website, and it states:

Logitech Wireless Headphones for iPod/MP3 uses Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). This means the Bluetooth hub in the laptop must support A2DP. A2DP support is a requirement in order to use the Logitech Wireless Headphones for iPod/MP3. If the Bluetooth hub does not support A2DP, then the headphone will not work with that hub.

I think I read that the N-Gage QD does NOT have A2DP support, so does that mean these headphones are not going to connect, I'm trying to find out so I can sell them new on eBay if they're not compatible.

Thanks.

oh true u got that right. The QD DOES NOT HAVE A2DP. So yeah it wont even connect. Good one man

Well good thing I wont open the package, I would have had to sell it for half. I guess I'll just get the N-Gage brand bluetooth headphones.

Um soryr to burst your bubble here but just because the head phones are a2dp doesn't mean they WON'T WORK.

I know I use an n-gage qd religiously and I use the jabra bt8010
http://whatsyourjabra.com/music/BT8010-overview.asp

They work fine.

Mono Stero only, but they work for games, music, talking, etc.

The only real problem is the BT isn't so great on the QD and tends to drop conenction which sucks the most.

Just because it HAS the A2DP profile doesn't mean they WILL NOT WORK.

BT profiles are backwards compatible for the most part. You simply will not be able to use ALL thefunctionality of the headphones depending on your profile.

So buy stero headphones they'll conenct and they'll work. they jsut won't be well stereo.

this is my understanding, so filipino's concerns should be the accuracy of Logitech's technical writing.

as it is, NOK's headset profile characteristics are far more forgiving in regard to BT than any other manufacturer, so (as Angel and Midnight both posted) you may still get mono audio via BT despite Logitech's purported A2DP "requirement".

right but later yu said

"oh true u got that right. The QD DOES NOT HAVE A2DP. So yeah it wont even connect. Good one man "

and i was just stating that's not accurate.

REally the bigger issue as i said is it drops connection and that does get a tad annoying. It's not like every minute or anything but after say listening to music for an horu or so you stop it can disconnect or when trying to get somethign started it cna disconnect. So far no firware i knwo of has fixed this which is sad.

right I wish I could say for aboslute certian they will work. but I don't own those headphones.

but I have owned the motorola bluetooth stereo head phones and I own the jabras now. both sets connected and worked in mono stereo, I don't see why logitechs won't either. Unles slogitech didn't something stupid.
