Opera Mini 2.0 SLVR

Hey I'm trying to get Opera mini to work on my slvr but it gives me a " you don't have working network connection" error which to some extent is not true. I say some extent because I can go to the rogers homepage,google and gmail through my normal WAP browser but other normal http pages dont load unless i go through google.Anyways what exactly do I have to do to make opera work.
My phone is unbranded unlocked and currently on rogers pay as you go (Canada)
