V3 freezes when text is entered..HELP

I am having a problem that whenever i try to use predictive text messaging or iTAP, my phone freezes, whether it's using the phone with msn messenger online or with simple text messaging, the phone also freezes while trying to message with the normal TAP english, or even when i am entering names in the phone book, or trying to save ringtone names etc...it seems to be a problem with generally entering text into the phone, it keeps freezing, i bought the phone from cingular wireless without a plan, and i brought it to the caribbean, therefore the option of bringing the phone in is not valid..please help me out!

i have the same problem with my v635 and i just went to get it checked out and the only recommendation i could get out of the several places was that i was supposed to update the firmware..... which is a pain in the butt to find in the first place so if you can manage to find a firmware update that might fix it

Had the same problem with my Pebl U6.

First tried a Master Reset. --> Did not solved the problem.
Secondly tried a Master Clear --> SOLVED the problem.

You just have to reconfigure everything.. and do not forget to save you phonebook entries - copy them to you SIM card if you stored them on the phone!

Btw, the default 6-digit security code is 000000
