From a managers perspective...
Expanding the war to regional/district mangers etc...and floortroopers. A two front war, that is...this should be fun stuff to read

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

oh trust me, if i land this job i wont be posting like i did prior.

umm, yeah, sure. whatever you say Alfred..... whatever you say.

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

no reason to really. I also feel like not doing it anymore so people such as yourself have nothing left to do around here.

btws tell me mr xbox360gamer, where do you work? market/store?

i'd like to know where such a "fine" employee such as yourself stalks me at every corner.

Not a whole lot, let me know when you get work so I can visit, haha.

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

i applied to work in dulles.

fyi

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

i emailed my old manager my resume and asked him to print it out for me. when i went by, apparently they closed down one of the blue stores so the SM was there as a assistant manager type ordeal until they place her in her own store.

i never met this lady and she comes out like a ***** and says "ha so you're XXX. we'd never get along" in a snotty way.

i then proceeded to ignore her. as i left i told her "i wouldn't work for such a ***** anyways. you suck at management and you couldnt live a day in the shoes of a sales rep"

then i left.

Posted by: NukuCamui

maybe you should be a mystery shopper Alfred

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

technically this thread should be in either the t-mobile or sprint/nextel threadsince thats what their company now sells.

it did go good. atleast i think so. i feel i got it but i still got to interview their top guy the president of their retail ops.

Posted by: 1badprincess

Hey Alfred you should post a thread asking us what to wear to your interview/first day. What to expect. What the pay is like? What about a demo line? Company benefits.... blah blah blah....

Ya know to go with the flow of everyone applying in this industry. lol

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

dude, when i went to my cingular interview, i wore like a hawaiin shirt, untucked, khaki pants and a removable cast for my broken leg LOL.

i probably should have dressed up better, but i didnt. the manager still hired me as he felt i had the best and most expierience.

but my co-workers gave me hell for it too LOL

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

when i saw the requirements for sales, i was shocked. i was like "wow, and they think this is hard to accomplish? $8 in features? wow.

and to think, i did 18-21 in features. LOL.

in a lot of way i am thankful for how cingular kept pushing me to go higher and higher feature and accessories sales. If i do land this job, i plan on enforcing that mentality, but in a nicer way. Too bad they dropped cingular earlier this year, or i'd try to do better than i did corp wise.

if there is one thing positive about working for cingular: it's training you to be very aggressive like the mobilesolutions, but not doing it like TMS.

Posted by: Gman-2006

Alfred, are you going to work for Simply Wireless? If you are then there president of Sales ops in Frank Iovino and vp of Sales is Steve Wolod. The duo that couldn't make Cingular run in the Balt/Wash market.

Good Luck too you because if you get that position you will have a HOTTIE trainer hanging out at your location by the name of Ashley. Very nice!!!

At least you won't have to worry about competing against Portables in Cingular Sales.

What happened with vzw?

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

i got an interview from 1 job. thats about it. noone else called me back.

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

so, what do i do now? do i wait till next week and hope i get the call, or call and just give a semi "just checkin in to see how things going" type call?

Posted by: SuxBeingU

at this point I would say your wasting time. Its Friday before a 4 day weekend. NO ONE is focusing on work in any HR dept. If you can get ahold of the Mgr you interviewed with, it might help your chances. I wouldn't sit around adn wait, Hit the pavement adn find another job.

Posted by: Gman-2006

I agree, wait it out until Wednesday when everyone will be back to work and more willing to help.

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

i honestly felt like i did an excellent job of selling myself to the company.

he seemed impressed with things i said as well.

well technically, i COULD get the job gauranteed ( by pulling a few strings) but i rather not do it to avoid riffs.
