The Bluetooth SIG has approved the Bluetooth specs for a Panasonic VS70, with comments that the phone is a dual mode 3G/GSM phone. The Bluetooth is kinda crappy though with only handset, handsfree and object push profile supported.

I can't believe it

I just get my VS7 a week ago (I'm from Argentina). I decided to buy it because Panasonic announces that they are closing all they gsm operations, so I just think it was my last chance, and now, a new VS is coming. Dam!!

They never said they were closing, they just said they were suspending their operations while they restructured their business. They said they would be back eventually though. Unfortunately some mobile phone websites just didn't report the news right and gloated over how Panasonic lost in the market.

Yes, but I saw the manufacture facilities closing news (philipines, etc.). So, I believe there's no going to be available gsm phones for a while....

Really ? I got the news from HongKong and China to know that VS30/ VS40 and VS70 cancelled to released on 2006, coz in China the 3G market was developing..not finish..
so that may be after organized the company will release the new phone..on abt 2007

I dont believe VS70 or other new series model ..there bluetooth only support handset function. I know it can support A2DP from other forums..
