*duplicate* text messages

Whenever I get a text message from one certain person, at the top of each message it says "*duplicate*". When that same person gets a text message from me it says the same thing at the top. It is only with eachother and neither of us has changed any settings and only sends each message once. what does this *duplicate* message mean?

whos your carrier, what phone, which carrier is your friend using thats ending to you, which phone is he/she using? please fill us in on the details since you left your profile empty or some reason, and were not psychic either.

sorry, i didn't see the profile.
I am with verizon, so is the other person and we both have motorola razors.
