A friend seem to be having an odd problem with fairly new L6 battery not holding a charge for more than 24-48 hours. This is just with the phone being turned on (only 1-2 short phone calls in a day) and Bluetooth is not being used.

The manufacturing date of the battery is 2006-03-29, so is it possible to get a replacement from Motorola or is there another underlying problem?

did your friend do the recommended initial charge of about 12 hours?? You're supposed to do the initial charge, then after that you can charge as often as you'd like because it's a lithium ion battery that has no memory effect. Leaving it charged overnight though might damage the battery
