How do you folks like the Slvr L7?

I'm a verizon guy right now used to my E815. I like the memory card feature, I like the user independent dialing, and I like the nig screen.

I'm considering moving to Cingular in a few months and that Slvr looks pretty neat. My problems are that you have to pay for voice digit dialing and that it doesn't have the user independent dialing (you have to program your voice for each contact...).

I also can't believe that you have to buy a data plan to download stuff, but then have to pay for the actual download on top of that! That's one thing with Verizon that I don't have to deal with.

Anyhow, being that I'm coming from the E815, how do you think I'll like a Slvr? How do you all like it?

i like my SLVR a lot. it's been a great phone for me all around. The texting is faster compared to the RAZR as well.

for the downloading thing, are you talking about ringtones and things like that or the iTunes? as far as having to pay for the ringtone or graphic even while have a data package that's because Cingular has to pay the record companies to have those ringtones available so in turn there's a small cost to the customer. the data package pays for the Kb you use to download them to your phone which is a cingular system on it's own. i'm a little confused on that sentance.

what i was trying to get at is that with verizon, if you want a ringtone or app, you just pay your $1.99 and you're done with it, but it seems with cingular, you have to pay the $1.99 on top of using kb's to download it for which you have to pay for as well. How much do apps and ringtones usually cost?

ringtones are usually around $0.99 to $1.99 and applications range alot wider depending on the one you want. if you sign up with a data package you don't pay extra for the Kb to download it.

Yeah, but my point is that with verizon, you pay the $0.99 to download the ringtone, and that's it...with cingualr, you have to buy a data package and use those kb on top of paying the $0.99.

Can the kb be used to check email also without paying anything extra?
