Not gonna happen. You can use this http://www.palm.com/us/products/smartphones/treo700w/

Posted by: mvaughanusm81

I was about to say that; upgrade to a 700w!

Posted by: Nick2004

u sure? one of my co-worker enable to put windows mobile 5.0 on his treo 650

Posted by: Kabuk1

It is not possible. Your friend probably had a launcher installed that resembled WM, or else he had a 700w & lied to you, lol...

Posted by: dabum

what's a launcher? lol, sorry if this is a stupid question

Posted by: Kabuk1

A launcher is the GUI, or graphical interface of your phone. The built in Palm launcher is what you see in your home screen. I use ZLauncher, but there are other like Facer, Launcher X, Initiate, etc.

definitley not possible. u were lied to.

so nick2004, did ya ask your friend?

Posted by: Kabuk1

This thread makes me think of something- its not possible to put windows on a Treo, but it IS possible to put Linux on one! Go to grack.com & look under the visuals section to see for yourselves.

Posted by: Nick2004

yeah i did he clearly showed me the windows mobile 5.0

Posted by: Telyx

Then it wasn't a Treo 650.

Posted by: Bcollins521

Pictures please that show WM5 on the 650

Posted by: xcboi02

You Sure it was the 650, and not the 700w? I know there are differences, but they don't look that different. The main reason I'm also wary of whether it was the 700w but not the 650 is because I don't believe microsoft has sold the windows mobile 5 platform on a cd or download ... I could be wrong, but I don't really remember many if any pdas even being given an upgrade from a previous windows mobile to new one ... so. I wouldn't even know how he got ahold of a windows mobile in order to do such a thing.
