Im really enjoying cingular.

I guess your everyone has different expiriences working for cingular, but i have to say my first week is going very well. Im picking up quick and everything seems to be going smooth. Ive worked at several different retail enviroments and this is the best one so far. At leat at my store there doesnt seem to be the amount of shadyness that ive seen at so many other places. Im sure people will flame me for this and maybe since im still new my opinions may change, but as of right now i really think this is the perfect job for me and i think im gonna love it. So for 10 bad stories, here is one good story.

cool deal, glad to hear your enjoying it. but i bet you haven't had "that" customer yet, but it will come. i have a few of "those" customers who make me question staying in wireless. but there are so many other +'s to working here that i really enjoy so it keeps me happy!

and "those" customers are the ones that also keep the job interesting and give great stories to tell when you look back....lol

remeber the 1st time you had sex, you though you would marry her/him it was so good, unless it was with an uncle, sma ehere you're in the honeymood phase, come back in 6 monthes and let us know.

so you really like your job? hmmm, just wait. give it about two or three months, you'll see.

this will happen right about the same time when the company F's you over on some of your commission check(s). that, or when your manager tells you one week how awesome you are and then the next week he's telling you how bad you suck.

I know that everyone else in the store loves it as well. I have not heard one bad thing. I think i may have landed in a good store. Ya know not all of them are bad.

As with all jobs, it's the people around you that make it either fun, or horrible. Furthermore, with sales, it has a lot to do with what you make it. Work hard and have good co-workers, you'll probably love it. If your unwilling to work and / or the co-workers stink, you're in for long days...

remember this: you staff is what pulls you up when you're down and are the backbone to dealing with those customers who make you want to quit.

my original staff i'd do anything for them. I was actually offered a job with verizon at one point, but i was not going to leave my staff, even if it meant taking a pay cut compared to verizon.

well i probably should've because not too long after, they went and got replaced with the most shady,inept, come in and out as they please staff. They drove me near insanity.

i eventually left after months trying to fix this issue and months of hoping management (store and regional evel) would take notice and fix it. Hope is too much, so i left.

I have had a good 2 years here at Cingular, I have not had any major problems and the store I am in now is just perfect. People I work with are great and we have so much fun working that I even come in on my das off sometime.

I guess I could say that I am happy to go to work....

I agree that the people you work with and for can make or break the job. Im just hoping the people i work with now dont leave any time soon. Im enjoying the team atmosphere way too much.

Sometimes I wonder if some of my customers were conceived by the uncle

I love being an agent personally. Don't have the god awful quotas corp reps have to deal with, none of the shadey management practices some people have talked about, and just a lower stress area. Sure I could make more working in a COR store, but 10/hour and a pretty good sized commission check pay all my bills with money to spare so I'm really quite happy where I'm at.
