i had nextel for 7 years, and went to Verizon. After 2 months dealing with their crappy service, they let me out w/o an ETF. I had the Treo 700w. After this, i was just looking for a really thin phone to put in my pocket (try bringing a Treo 700 out to the bar/club with you, and you look like a total dork ) .... (im 21, so for the older business crowd, 700w is fine no matter what). but the service sucked.i went to Cingular yesterday. the 807 and Razr were the 2 thinnest phones. I got the 870 cuz i dont like the way the razr looks, etc. I love it so far. It's simple compared to the Treo i had, but thats comparing apples to oranges. The slider is no problem. I havent had it close down and hang up a call on me like some people say. I also changed it so when i slide the screen down, it doesnt hang up (continues doing whatever you're doing). Therefore, while in a call, i can slide it down to make the phone more compact. The only complaint i have is the earpiece volume. From reading, it seems most Samsung phones eventually get a hack for this. MP3 ringtones and wallpapers are no problem either. Both can be transferred via bluetooth easily, and free. |
