R.I.P. Care

I didnt see a thread about this, so if there is one please dont flame..

this is dedicated to a program that when i started with the company i refused to use. then a few months later, after i realize how ****** opus is, i use CARE. and for some god unknown reason they have taken the best tool a rep could be armed with, and rip it from us. SO this is for you CARE... RIP!

anyone know exactly why?

Maybe we can thank the unethical reps who used CARE for bad....That program gave a rep alot of power. It was Cingular's billing system in certain markets. If some reps can't use CARE without abusing it, think of what it would be like if they gave us SNOOPER...

^one of my reps has access to snooper...

and as far as Care, mine still works, but my manager said that at this point if we use it is considered a breach of the code of conduct or some bs. It was so much easier to change features as well as many other things in care...oh well. Now I guess we will have to attempt to learn how to do this reconcile thing if we need to chage commission codes.

We all have Snooper too. We had to go to training before they gave us logins but mine still works. I think CARE can do more financial damage to the company from abusive reps than Snooper can.

everyone made Snooper the end all program to fix everything...most COR store reps who had it only had the power to fix stubborn call forwarding and increase the ringtime before voicemail.

CARE is a good program for people that use it correctly, but I have found transactions stacked in the switch incomplete so often by reps transferring calls to me that I wish it were either more limited on what it would let people do or had certain abilitys grayed out like they are in Snooper for folks other than tech support.

I had snooper. And for 2 days, I had unrestricted access, too

That's how I sold my 6230 unlocked.

Well..I still have care...but i haven't used it in a week. Opus is still slow and buggy, but at least now I can remove features (like ppu features) and add the replacing ones on top of it all at once instead of it being a multistep process like it used to be. I also noticed today that I can finally add and remove features using opus in telegence markets and it looks like I even got credit for it. It claims in mylogins that I have a telegence password, but I tried to reset my password and log into it today, but it wouldn't do it...but that could be because I have NO idea how to use telegence. Opus is getting better, but I still wish I had care back.

At my call center, we have reps that either use care or telegence. Despite the problems that care can have, (like shutting down for no reason at all) it's an okay program. Snooper is really nice though. I can't do as much with it as a tech rep but I like it.

Oh...we had major issues with opus and care cooperating yesterday afternoon, I couldn't do anything without it giving me a cam error or some other error...I called IT support and there was a master ticket out already. I got better right around closing time...it was half working for about 3-4 hours. I could not change features, rate plans, pretty much anything with any accounts as well as it being just slow all around.
