Text Messages on a V635?

OK, when i had my stock V635 i could store like 100 messages in total about 50 inbox, 50 outbox, i upgraded to 6FR (Moto) and the max decreased, i then upgraded to 90R_1 and now i can ony store like 10 in total, WTF is going on has any1 had this problem, thanks for anyhelp.
i spent ages researching about this, but no one seems to have had this kind of problem, or no replies to my posts!

do you know what, i give up. 60 odd people have seen this thread and no 1 has any answers or had the problem, unbelievable

You are probably storing it to SIM. Change it to 0 for phone
offset 40 - bit 6: SMS storage (0 for phone, 1 for SIM)
