Argh..How DO I Enable the Ticker feature Mot PEBL?

I've searched high & low and everywhere inbetween al without luck.

I'm trying to find what seem edit will put the "ticker" feature back into the Personalize Home Screen Menu on a PEBL. I bought it on ebay and this feature isn't in the enu system. I;'ve gotten the IM to work set up the lights even got it to connect to my computer withou problems.

However the screen 3 technology for the ticker is relatively new except for the v557 which also has it.

If anayone out there knows the seem edit to activate it It would be greatly appreciated.

Screen3? well screen3 is in the firmware and you would need the correct firmware with screen3 enabled its not a seem at least we dont think so.

Thanks for the info I do believe it's in the firmware reson being it's listed in the specs. This phone was orginally set up for a EU provider so the feature most likely was disabled since they didn't offer it (similair to IM not being available until the proper edits). I gotta belive there's a way somehow?

Nope, the motorola specs doesnt mean anything. About all recent phones have listed the capabilities for Motorola live ticker (screen3) but the only true phone that ever had it was the v557. the v3i was suppost to have it too but the phone had to have a special firmware,same as the L7 and the v3x i believe.

Any thoughts as to where I might be able to locate the firmware? I have a few monster packs but really don't want to get into that if it's not going to help. I know motorola will be offering software updates sometime this year but don;t really want to wait. Have you heard of anyone having the ticker on the pebl? I've picts of them with it???

Nope ive never heard of anyone with screen3 on their pebls but ive seen it on v3is and l7s but never on U6. i dont think there has ever been a MP with screen3 on it unless it was v557

never had it - don't know why some websites advertise it. worse than when motorola kept advertising edge when the u6 didn't have it

Why would they have the feature in the manual and show you how to set it up. This stuff is making me more crazy & obsessive
