E815, won't get past boot screen

Hi All,
I've got a 815 that I loaded up a CStrike skin on. I think the skin didn't get loaded all the way. I selected that new skin not knowing that. Now, all that I get on the screen is the hellomoto boot screen every 5 seconds. I can't get PST to connect to it, nor MPT upon reboot of the phone.
Is there a reset or button to hold when powering on the phone to get it to go to some default config?
Thanks for whatever help you can give me.

In an effort to try and fix my own problem, I've pressed and held a lot of buttons on the phone during its reset.
While holding down the * and # keys, the phone went into the bluescreen 'bootloader usb init' state.
My pc (xp sp2) then autoloaded the 'Motorola USB Device/Motorola Flash Interface' in the device manager.
I then opened up PST Flash & Test commands from the start/programs listings.
The first time I did this, the phone did not show up in the lower 'device' section of the PST program, but unplugging the usb cable and plugging it back in got it to show up.
So, I then opened up E815 Flash 8720_01.17.03 for a test and after highlighting the Motorola P2K, I press the flash button.
Progress goes well on the phone, "Flashing PHN ....000 001 etc"
Progress goes well on PST, no errors.
Flash completed on PST.
Phone shows 'Shutting Down...'
After about 30 seconds, I get
"IN COMM FAIL EP2"
"SHUTTING DOWN"
The screen blinks somewhat and resets to the same stuff above.
I get the same results with 00 firmware.
Pull battery, resert and and get some default 'HELLOMOTO' boot screen and resetting every 10 seconds.
HELP PLEASE.

I had to take the phone back to a Verizon center and plead ignorance and got a new one (free) since it's only been 3 months since I got it.
Brought it home and seem'd it, works fine, still can't get p2k to work right to get themes installed.
I'll give up for a month or two and then get on it again.
When I connect the phone via cable, I see the motorola usb modem in the devices, then when I bring up PST, that device 'goes away' and disappears. Then I get the motorola device showing up instead. Then P2K won't connect. That sucks. Oh well.
