And Can Use it for when I am out In the park for going online and all downloaded phonebook drivers ect.... but no phone tools so i can get any ringtones or wallpaper or am i just D-U-M-B ???
ON ALL THIS granted I am a very very newbie ...i was just gonna go out and buy a USB Dongle a Kensington cause that is what I am thinking is gonna be the way to go here and just use that 60.00 Data Cable if I am out fishing with my son and husband kinda boring I am..but ya know. I quess I am looking to download that Motorola phone tool thing and am not wanting to spend another 40.00 when i can spend another 20 to 50.00 for a dongle and have a easier way to dowoad a bungle of fun things to do. any ideas? out there? would be greatly appreciated. thanks all bye bye...
..... actually bought 2, so two for twenty, one for home, one for office. A simple seem edit will enable transfers from usb for both ringtone and wallpapers. Check out the Verizon forum for motos. Mark Venture in the forum has web pages that describe how to do the seem edits. |

i finally have figured out what I have and what I need thanks to you all Yes i have that that Data Connectivity SmithMicro Mobile Phone Book with the USB cord which does alow me to connect to internet out and about were ever I am so that is well worth the 60.00 itself.... Now for the Ringtones download idea, I am just gonna do the d-link thing cause it is available here in my small town that we live in and I hope will some how beable to figure that out at this time I dont have the Moto Phone tools so I think that d-link comes with the cd with the tools on it and i am hoping it wont get confused with which drivers to use. if so i will just go and read and read till i find the answers on Marks board boy that man knows his stuff, I tell you. And I Commend him for all of his comments and all of you others that have time to help the Newbie's like me but I would like to know how to put Alltel and my phone up in that signiture line and Razr V3c if someon would like to Jump in and let me know if not that is ok also i have been reading through the FAQ but not much luck yet. thanks again

Since the dongle didn't ship with the Widcomm, it will fail the License check. The only way is to try and find a Licenese Hacker for it on the internet. And even then, there is a chance your dongle wont be 100% compatibile with the widcomm stack. If Bluesoliel wont sell you a license, and your dongle maker hasn't released a newer version yet, you're out of luck there too. Sorry, this is the biggest thing I HATE about bluetooth... And it does NOT matter which brand you buy... we are stuck in this situation! Example... I've purchased two ambicom dongles... the first one will only work with the 1.37 Widcomm drivers, but the newer will use the 3.09 drivers. Even though they are the same model number... So, as new drivers get released, toss out your perfectly good dongle that would work no problems IF they would only release the newer drivers for your hardware.... |
