MIDI format ringtones

Hi everyone ,

I'm a new user here and I just bought a w600i recently .

I've downloaded some .mid format ringtones (which I guess is the standard format for ringtones?) but the music seems to sounds different when I play it on my computer than compared to playing it on the phone.

In fact, from the sounds of the phone, the music is actually incomplete. For example, there's supposed to be a piano part during the music but the phone doesn't play the piano sounds.

Is there anyway to update the phone to solve this issue?

Thanks for any help!

Shenling

Wirelessly posted (whatever the next lines says: Nokia9300/6.01 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 Mozilla/4.0 compatible; MSIE 5.0; Series80/2.0 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

the w600 supports mp3 ringtones just make your own and send thru a website or bluetooth or pm me

MIDIs on newer phones don't sound the same as on older phones. My on my T637 I had a great MIDI that I loved since it couldn't play MP3s. The same file on my W600i, 6682, and now Z520a and also on my computer it sounds pretty bad.

So I should somehow convert the MIDI file to mp3 then? Is that how to do it?

Thanks again,

Shenling
