Hi there, I was trying to find some info on this, but I could only find info on how to put Ringtones on to your Razr.
Does anyone know how to take Ringtones that you've downloaded from a site, and are "locked" in your phone, off of the Razr? I have a USB, and MPT, but when I click on the audio section in the Media Center, I can't see ANY files. I can see the pic's and the vid's, just not any audio....
OR, is there an easier way to transfer the ringtones from my current phone to my new v3 Razr? PLEASE help, as I am selling my phone, and would like to keep the current ringtones off my phone, and transfer them to my new Gold V3 Razr. THANKS!!

not sure why you cant see any ringers there, try dragn and dropn a new one on there and see if it shows up, also make sure you de-assign any ringers you want to take off

I am trying to do the same thing. I hooked up my phone via cable and used the motorola phone tools but they would not download to my pc as they were locked. I then tried pk2 manager to change the attribute to unlocked. This got rid of the locked icon on the phone but the ringtones still wont download off the phone, still locked on there. Then I tried pk2 commander, right clicked on the file, selected attributes, all the boxes were clear and the code was set to 0000, but the owner code was 1c. I believe this is the problem. All my other uploaded tones had an owner code of 0E and gave me no problem. I believe this is part of an anti copy protection put there by the provider of the rington, in my case tmobile. So, anyway if anyone has any luck with this Id be glad to hear it.

These ringtones I downloaded from muchmusic.com are on my phone but are locked as well. I would like to take these ringtones off so that i can transfer them on to my new Razr when I get it in the mail. Is there a way to Unlock these ringtones because when I use MPT I can't see ANY ringtones under the audio section of the Meida Center. Anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried pk2 commander? You can get it for free at motomodders.net. It will let you change the attribute of the ringtone and then copy it to your pc. Seems like a good program but it will not work for my tmobile bought ringtones.
