Ok, my son has a v300 (tmobile) and he bought a lot of ringtones and wallpapers (from tmobile) for it. He has learned his lesson and now makes all his own, very easy. But he just got a new razr (tmobile) and wants to transfer them (the purchased ones) to his new phone. we have the usb cable and tried with motorola phone tools. No, go as they are all locked. Then we got p2k manager, changed the attribute and still its locked. The lock icon is gone though. So, I get p2k commander and it shows that the attribute is for shared but it wont let you download it off the phone. It seems all these files have an owner code of 1C as all his home made ones have OE. This doesnt seem to be able to be changed with this software. Anyone know how to do this? Or is this copy protection undefeatable and the tones and wallpapers are gone. I dont want to delete them, I want to download them off the phone. Ive searched around and have not been able to find any complete answers, ie, ones that work. Thanks in advance.

Just use P2K Commander to download them. P2KC doesn't care if the file is locked.

So, you mean highlight the file, hit the copy button and it will download the file to the pc. This does not work. It says that it is downloading but then comes back with the "generic error" message. It only does this with the ones that I bought from tmobile. These have the character ^ in the name of all of them. Is it possible that my ntfs winxp system doesnt like that? Can I rename the files without downloading them?
