I thought I had researched the N80 thoroughly before this and I thought there was indeed A2DP Bluetooth profile, and only just recently have I found that there wasn't going to be A2DP support. So my question is, does the N80 really have A2DP and it's only a firmware flash away? Or there was really no support for it in the first place?

no A2Dp support for n80, and i believe it's a hardware not software thing as well.

A2Dp require some specific hardware to be supported. In N80 case it isn´t just there even if the hardware in the phone supports it. Nokia just seemed to have leaved that functionality out for some mysterious reason..

i kinda think that nokia is not YET going for the A2DP, since A2DP sound quality sucks, the bandwidth is not good enough to have a hi-fi stereo...

indeed, well apparently the production ones doesnt have it
