Motorola Q deletes message from Exchange

I have the Motorola Q and I am using Active Sync to connect to my Exchange Provider.

I have no problems receiving messages but when I delete a message from the device it subsequently deletes from my inbox in Outlook ( That is tied to my Exchange Account ). Is this by design or there some setting that I am over looking?

mine does the same thing. deleting on device will delete the same item in exchange box.

Its by design, when you delete from your handheld, activesync takes that as you want to delete it. Instead, move old items to another folder or start using flags or labels to sort through things instead. Just remember any actions you take on your handheld will be replicated when connecting to activesync.
